After a storm, start here

If water is coming in, call us now. We tarp roofs any time, day or night. The rest of this page can wait.

The first 24 hours

A short list. Do what you can, and don't take risks.

  1. Stay safe

Keep away from downed power lines and from rooms with a sagging ceiling. Don't climb onto the roof.

  2. Slow the water down

Move what you can away from the leak. Put down buckets and towels.

  3. Take photos

Photograph the damage inside and out, from the ground, before anything is moved or cleaned up.

  4. Call us for a tarp

If water is getting in, call (813) 555-0142. We tarp roofs any time, day or night.

  5. Call your insurance company

Report the damage and ask what they need from you.

  6. Keep your receipts

Hold on to receipts for anything you spend on emergency fixes. Your insurer may ask for them.

How emergency tarping works

A tarp is a short-term fix. It keeps the rain out so your home can dry while we plan the real repair.

Call for a tarp, any hour: (813) 555-0142

  1. You call

Any time, day or night. Tell us where the water is coming in.

  2. We cover the damage

We put a tarp over the damaged part of the roof to keep the water out.

  3. We come back to fix it

When the weather clears, we inspect the roof and give you a written quote for the repair.

Help with your insurance claim

We don't handle your claim, and we can't promise what your insurance will cover. What we can do is give you a clear record of the damage.

  • Photos of every part of the roof
  • A written list of the damage, in plain words
  • A written quote for the repair

You send these to your insurance company. If your insurer has questions about the roof, we're happy to answer them.
